Aquaponics is a farming method inspired by ancient farming systems from the Aztecs to Egypt, based on the recycling of nutrients in nature. In the aquaponic fish tank, the fish consume food and excrete manure, algea grows in the nutrient-rich water, and uneaten fish food falls to the bottom. You know whats cool? Aquaponics.

This may seem like a random post, considering that this blog focuses on my fight with Crohns disease and my decision to use hookworms as my drug of choice.  But, if you consider that it was my interest in better gardening methods that opened my mind to trying helminthic therapy, methinks this post makes sense.

Aquaponics is a wonderful educational tool that is for sure.
We decided to fill one of the tanks a few days back and throw a few fish in for some photos. See attached photos.

Please can I stop? I actually went to sleep in front of T.V. Then had to try and sharpen myself up for this. Now my eyes are saying ENOUGH ALREADY.
So I think I had better heed the warning. Hope you get a lot out of this one

meet Baili Buck and Bradley

well not so much Bradley and Buck. But here is their interesting story.

So...first...lets meet Jesse. Jesse is the son of Nova and Dustin. For whatever reason, Jesse inherited the normal Sims2 eyes and not the nice realistic ones. Like it passed through five generations and was only showing up with Nova and Dustins offspring. Why did I keep them paired? Well there is a gene Im breeding out. Basically the noses on some males looks odd and slightly detached from their face. Only shows up on the Y chromosome I guess. Anyway...Jesse got normal green Sims eyes but didnt inherit the nose gene.

sooo...I kept him.

However I wanted the realistic eyes back with hopefully more males.

Now meet Ashlynne (I think). Ashlynne is Novas mom. Since I can only have cousins mate within the game, I summoned the tombstone of life and death.

Nova became pregnant with Ashlynnes baby and Ashlynne became pregnant by Dustin.

So...Nova had a little girl that I named Baili. She isnt bad looking so I kept her around. Thats her in the picture at the top of this post.

Ashlynne had twin boys...Buck and Bradley. But I killed them cause they had the nose gene.

Apparently when I went to take more pics...there were triplets. I think they might also be Ashlynnes but Im not sure with who XD.

2010 Resolution

So it turns out you CAN make quotes on blogger XD.

ANYWAY I have decided to use tumblr for Davids missions....thats one resolution. KEEP IN TOUCH!!!

and besides that.

2) get into shape.
3) pass all classes
4) eat better
5) get a job so I can eat better
6) get my dogs back
7) Donate at least a gallon of blood
8) Donate to at least three charities

and yup!!!!

Seeing as I woke up at 5pm today...were off to a rocky start XD

Monday 13th December 2010

Ive been flicking through the Archives this morning and I am pretty sure that this Blog has covered Aquaponics from every direction possible. However not to the depth that we can go. The things Ill be looking at throughout 2011 will be to try to cover the more technical aspects of the biological processes and of course searching for breakthroughs or better understandings of what is happening or can happen within certain systems.

In other words The Search Goes On Into 2011 and beyond. So stick with us as we attempt to continue to uncover Whats New and Whats Different through the upcoming twelve months and of course we will continue to cover the very basics of DIY for what I believe will be a huge rush of newcomers into this wonderful hobby.

First Id like to announce that I pray for the day where I found out Im adopted...as my family is too stupid for me to be related to...

And my sister...beyond annoying. I mean damn...act your age, not my shortest friends shoe size (which is 6 I believe)

Anyway...was playing some Earthbound a while ago...great game.

So what brings me to the internet today is a little different. I have actually come here to try to figure out how to wear a shirt.

yep you read that right.

Its mostly because I have an interview with Macys...a clothing store...and dont want to look too stupid there.

So its the perfectionist coming out in me.

well its more like Im looking for what to wear. Do I wear something on the more casual me-ish side or do I completely dress to impress?

I have yet to tell my family cause they are soooo fucking annoying that Id rather be homeless than deal with them squealing like headless pigs about me needing to look perfect.
