dear everyone

This is about people...most of you in fact. You know who you are. I mean Im so serious about people reading this its even going on Myspace...

Its about people and other peoples boyfriends. Lets start with subject one.

So people dont really like her boyfriend...yeah we got it. I know you all think she deserves better...but ok its GREAT to say that she deserves better. I mean no harm there. HOWEVER suggesting that she leaves her boyfriend and even encouraging it is rediculous. She has heard our suggestions...now she can decide for herself. She is a big girl.

Ok and subject two.

People dont like her boyfriend either because...well a number of reasons...like he changed her or all of a sudden she has gone mega religious.

Well ok

Here is what KILLS me about you guys.

You say "how can you trust and love someone so much when you dont even really know them?" Thats basically what you say right? I mean the pics are old and it could totally be some old dude effing around right?

So far everyone who says this believes in God...someone you dont know and there is no real proof of his existence except some other dude told you and wrote a book on him...

sounds a little contradictory to me....

Not saying she is right or that you guys are wrong...I just think its an INCREDIBLY stupid reason to leave people behind. I mean what if this is all just bullshit? The last thing someone needs is to hurt all by themselves. If anything everyone should be giving her MORE support even if you do think it is bullshit.

Now Im not trying to preach to anyone...just saying. I mean Im pretty vocal about not believing in God yet none of you rub it in my face? Why are you smearing their faces in your beliefs?

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND!!!!

Oh dear Where did Friday go

Apologies my friends, weve had a mishap.  Our Bobcat got bogged in the mud. Since the flood weve had a few nights of rain and the ground we normally can work/drive on had taken all the wet it could handle. So my mate drove into a scrubby area to remove an old motor and when he went to turn the bobcat she dug into the ground and the mud just swallowed half of each of the four wheels.

Well we tried for three hours to get it out with a 2 ton car jack and lots of timber, then we had the guy at the back of our place with his tractor to give us a hand. They have trotters and their own training track. But the tractor was only two wheel drive with a small motor and it didnt even budge the bobcat. eventually we got the thing out and finished the work but by then Friday was a gone chicken.

So here I go with the new WEEKEND Issue... Please Enjoy:

Life, the universe and everything

Taking students out of the classroom to do ‘real’ research and pairing their teachers with those working in the field is getting children enthused about science’s possibilities

It is Tuesday morning and a double-free for a group of Year 12s. But instead of lounging around the common room or catching up in the library, 30 maths, ICT and science pupils have given up their free time to look at satellite images of the River Mersey.

Hands-on agriculture at KI school

14 Jan, 2011 03:00 AM
KANGAROO Island High School students are getting a hands-on agricultural experience through KI Community Educations Parndana campus.Agriculture teacher Trevor Bolwell said there was a working farm adjacent to the school where students were taught a broad range of subjects related to the industry.
"The kids are involved with prime lamb production and run a feed-lot, so they have to go through and work out rations," he said.
They also learn about aquaponics through a barramundi growing-out facility.
Attached to the facility is a recycling system where the waste water is transported to trays with various seedlings including herbs, spinach, beans and lettuce.

FARM: shop - East Londons radical experiment in food growing and community building

David Hawkins
FARM: shop in Dalston is a revolutionary new take on urban food self-sufficiency: a cafe and community hub with its own rooftop chicken coop, pigs and floating garden
FARM: shop is a place where people can interact with farming

Just along from the new Dalston Junction train station, opposite East London standard issue billboards and a fried-chicken shack, stands the pleasing facade of a freshly revived shopfront. Yet this isnt the usual tedium of homogenized gentrification

Dear readers

I checked my stats and am upset.

Id like to say hello to the French readers out there. Turns out a good portion of my audience is French!!!  You guys have a beautiful country and language by the way.  No chance that Im being overly nice either!
So here is to the French.  Thanks guys!

Now even more interesting is that most people got here via Google search engine.  Well I guess it isnt a surprise seeing as Blogger itself is a Google tool.  The top two things that bring people here?

"zebra brown white stripes"
"portal cake ingredient list"

hahaha.  Now I had the actual ingredients and how to for an edible version of the portal cake.  In fact, there is a hard way from scratch and an easy way from instant cake stuff (like the box cake mix.)

But what truly gets me going...the fact that over 75% of you are using Internet Explorer.

This disgusts me.

Most of you are also on Windows which is understandable but IE????

The Calling

Has anyone ever sat back and wondered if they should listen to their heart even if it seems stupid?  How about those tug-o-wars between what you have and what you want?

Call me a green witch, call me what youd like.  One this is for sure...I feel out of place in suburban areas...in cities....

I know many people think Im foolish.  I have never lived in snow or far from "civilization" but my heart tells me that is where home is...and you wont really feel "at home" till you are there.

There is something about flower covered hills and tall trees that calls to me.  It tells me to leave the place I have known for so long.  It isnt like my family would be new to it.  Spyro spent a good portion of his life outside and Luna actually "grew up" roaming the hills of Placerville.  Besides, its not like dearest loving Adam goes outside anyway.

Adam.  I hate to admit it but he is currently a brick wall in that sort of sense.  He absolutely hates the idea of moving out there.  I know living in the wilderness is hard work and some things can be more expensive.  All he seems to care about is internet and house work.  Newsflash buddy...housework is everywhere and city internet is slowed by all the people using it thus, to get a good speed, you pay more.  Just checking prices, I found satellite internet that is just as fast as cable/Stand alone DSL for the same price.  Bad weather knocks out city/suburban internet as well.

I know some people like the fact that they have everything close by.  Here in suburbia, you have neighbors close by and parks.  You have paved roads and stores all within 5 miles.  Here, your trash is picked up every week along with recycled items.  Everything is taken care of for you and, as long as youre willing to do some converting, you will have no problems.

...I am not one to convert....

I constantly feel like Im being torn between everything.  Here...here is where school, family, friends, and work are all conveniently locate.  There is...home.  I feel homesick yet I feel like I have never actually been home.

Now dont get me wrong.  Suburban life can be great for some people and I know a ton of people that love city living.  However I am not one of them.  Id rather make ends meet and live in the country than be comfortably living in the city.  If you are a social butterfly and love for most things to fall into place, urban and suburban areas are for you!  I dont like things to always fall into place.  I like my constants (boyfriend, dogs, things that are for sure) plus the unpredictability of life.  I hate day by day constants like it being rainy or sunny...or just simply waking up with nothing better to look at than my neighbors house.  Dont get me wrong, I have some nice neighbors but...their house and trees look the same every day with few changes in wildlife (birds) and so on.

That Crazy Feeling

Funny story. After the worst day ever, I found peace. I had been looking for peace for some time. I found it...it was there all along.

I figured a nice hose shower would be great after having sewage spilled on me today. The cold water seemed to flush away all the stress...all the worries. And then I found it. The lone goose that flew across the star filled sky. The grass that gently danced in the wind. Peace...there you were hiding in the chaos. Just I was so wound up that I couldnt find what was right in front of me.

Peace. Its always there but not so clear. In fact, the reason why I...or maybe most people cannot find it is because were too wound up. But is that really a bad thing? Would I have found peace if I didnt have such a bad day? Would we recognize good if we didnt have bad? How about happy if we didnt have sad?
