Todays giggles and some updates grr windows

Dear Blogspotters,

You get my juicy posts that are uncut and my free mind. Totally not kid friendly, racist, and sometimes fairly emotional. Good job.

So todays blog is really about black people and windows. XD

First lets start with black people. So mom and sis didnt pay the electric bill. Yeah that means Im out from Sims, Katamari, AND Harvest Moon in one hit!!! Expect more blogs to roll in.

ANYWAY.

So I went to school to get my bus pass. Was waiting in line to get my sticker. The chick in front of me took 10 minutes to brush her hair and junk...just to take a pic. Mind you that once you have a pic you DONT get a new one. So she bitched about it. -_-

omg black pplz

So then mom came and got me so she could take sis to work. She was talking about how we couldnt cook or anything.

oddly enough we have a gas stove...hmmm

So I was like "why cant we just light the gas with a lighter?"
"Our stove is electric and gas"
"but the electricity is only used to light the gas...hence why it goes tick tick bwoooof"
"Then why did the oven not come on last time the power was out?"
"because there was no electricity to start it?"

Then low and behold...my sister said something smart?

"She means you needed electricity to start the spark to light the gas"

for some odd reason my mom only understands when my sister said it...

dumb

Anyway now time to rant about windows.

I loved XP automatic updates cause they dont bug the shit out of you...till recently.

I have been on this computer maybe an hour and it has sent me five popups asking me if I wanna restart now

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH *kill*

Been having these odd dreams. One from the night before last.

I fell to the floor. I had...fur? I went up to her. She had kids. "let me help you" I said. She directed me to help go find food for the group. I did. A man tried to shoot them. I let out a hiss. She praised me for my work...and let me know she was a witch. She made me human again....and I defeated the evil man.

Then last night,
The man shot straight at the door. He was aiming to kill. We owed the mob. Our house exploded as I ran out the door. He caught me and put me in a prison with a nice family. Together we broke out and got into a huge gun fight with the mobsters. Then they took me home. Their home was terribly destroyed but fixable. I found their dog outside...their dog...or was it? It was MY old dog...one that was brutally murdered.

Time is a great teacher if only it didnt kill all the pupils

This morning started out pretty homosexual.

Woke up....shower took a few long minutes to actually get warm water...cool. But then it went out shortly after

-_-

So then I was walking down the street and then *BAM*

Yeah some douche bag obviously had their water on last night because there was ice running from their lawn....onto the sidewalk.

In the middle of class I realized my elbow was bleeding and was in mega pain...along with a pulled muscle in my leg.

ugh

So I waddled back to the cafe....and felt a little bleh...really sick. Thim enrolled in classes. Turns out the English class I want is already full and I cant even enroll till the 11th.

I went with Taylor to wal mart. Felt waaay better to get some sun...but went home and died. He bought me a burger from McDonalds...possible contributer?

Then I walked back tot he bus stop...where some asian dude was yelling random things at me and took food from this guy.

ugh...now Im back and I think people are gonna make me move. =[

Well Justin P. brought doughnuts and they were yummy. Thanks Justin!!!!

And now Im here

The Controversy Bulb GARLIC

When youre like me and have a small A/P system that is used as a test unit, and its laying idle....

Anyhow I tossed a couple of Garlic cloves at the gravel Growbed last week. So yesterday when I was checking it...Damn, will you look at that. One of them has a 1 1/2" shoot...

Now what do I do...?

They are three quarters covered by 3/4"gravel so I dug in and the roots look really good and thick. Covered it again. lets see what transpires. Ill keep you posted.

But back to the Notebook and a sad tale(tail)

Now I am pretty geeky and have never grown a thing in my life. I am much more comfortable with silicon and solder than dirt and water

We have harvested some Pak Choi, Watercress, Snow Peas, Beetroot, Zucchinis, Celery, Potatoes, Lettuce,Tomatoes, Basil, Parsley,Garlic, Tang O and Vietnamese Coriander and Goji leaves. We have experimented with...

Root crops?

What about root crops? No problem, although you are probably better off growing potatoes in the ground, they will...

Click for video clip on Garlic harvesting.Here....http://www.autopot.com.au/

I am a fan of aquaponics . My solution is a hybrid of classic ... Beetroot, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Garlic, Capsicum, Spinach, Leek, ..More...

dill, watermelon, spinach, chard, arugula, tomato,
pepper, onion, leek, garlic, chives, corn, beans, peas and
?owering plants.DONT MISS THIS ONE...

I hope that will take care of your enthusiasm for Aquaponics for a couple of days.

The Freeway story

--/--/1998* to 02/13/2010
old age

So every now and then someone will ask me whered Freeway get his name from. Well now I can spare the hand strain or energy to tell over and over, the story of one of the luckiest dogs in the world. And no Im not being the typical cocky owner. He was just a lucky guy.

Freeway was found on an I-80 off ramp in Sacramento, CA (not sure the exact ramp) one cold, rainy night. His legs were broken from being struck by a car (so he looked more like he was wearing pants vs having normal dog legs), he had a busted eardrum, and was suffering from mange.

His rescuer rushed him to a vet where she treated him in hopes to keep him. Unfortunately, Freeway didnt get along with her cats. Since the cats were there first, Freeway was surrendered to Nevada County animal shelter. He was old, had lost fur (and it never grew back), and the shelter wasnt filling up any slower. Seven times he was put on the list to be euthanized, seven times he charmed his way away from death. Finally, a private samoyed rescue in Redding, CA came to his rescue. He became the second longest resident there.

On one lucky day, Freeway and Prince (a husky x samoyed that pretty much grew up at the rescue and was the longest resident) were adopted on the same day. The greatest day of the shelter.

so now you know. The dog that charmed his way away from death and into the hearts of many. The one that taught us to never give up.

Heres to you - the most optimistic, charming dog ever.

I Came Back!

Well well well. I have returned. I didnt think I would come back. I wanted a community type blog so I left to explore Xanga for a while. Let me tell ya...its a mess. I like to think that nobody is listening. After all...this is my blog and I shouldnt feel so....restricted. It wasnt so much the website as it was the damned community. Oh well.

I stopped blogging for a good minute but shit just hit the fan. I have been totally constipated with sorrow and thoughts but then I remembered. I blog because I think about my future and all the cool things I can get when I finally get on my feet. Gives me hope and a chance to just...unwind and imagine.

I wanted to come back to blogging after a cold, tearful night. Husband and I lost our bed to mold so we were sleeping on the floor which is hard wood. He moved to the couch and I continued to sleep on the floor, sprawled out. We have a hole in our roof that never really bothered me till that moment. I was on the floor, cold and lonely listening to the thuds of water hitting the sound of the bucket. Little did I know that shit would only hit the fan more. A couple days later was the start to finals week. I had the worst Wednesday of my entire life. Husband was angry...cant remember why. We were driving to school as it was pouring. One of his wipers stopped working and...well he got pretty snappy. I kept to myself that morning and cried. Fuck my life...seriously. Todays final had two scantrons, one which I forgot my name. It was clear who it belonged to (it was sandwiched between scantron number one and my finals packet) but, school policy caused my 85% to be dropped down to a 66%. As if shit really couldnt get any worse. Lucky me that this only dropped my grade to a 70%...passing but only by the skin of my teeth. At my school, teachers call you during break to let you know if you passed or not. I knew I passed my classes but...something was off. I got my call and it turns out my supervisor at my internship flat out failed me for being unmotivated. What the hell was she talking about? Shit wouldnt have gotten done if I didnt do it. I stayed late twice but you know...was never motivated according to her. What is more fucked up is I never got to work with her...she was off on the days I came in. Instead I worked with an assistant who probably didnt get a say in my grade.  I had to write a bullshit essay about how to improve myself  which stated everything that I was doing anyway...but whatever.  Kissing ass to get what I want.  Needless to say, I fixed it and made it back in.

Friday and We are all a Bit Sick of this Weather

So I guess most of us are wondering what is the next weather installment. Well not me, Ive had all the weather I need. So Ill just sit here and get on with work:

It occurred to me a couple of days ago that I had never written anything reviewing my Friendly Aquaponics Commercial Training experience.  It was a profound four days in my life and yet I have never chronicled it.  I think I finally will now.

We arrived in Kona late Saturday night after grounded planes and nearly missed flights.  We were tired but excited as we drove from the airport up to Waimaia where we were staying.  Tomorrow we would go to the farm tour and then the class would start on Monday.  We slept well, but cold in the little Hawaiin hotel room with no heat.  It was dipping into the 40s there at night and we Florida girls were freezing!  The next morning we headed out for breakfast and to go to the farm tour.

Gardening by the use of an aquaponic system will enable you to cultivate plants along with aquatic life, and starting out at a small scale will allow you to get started without the need for significant amount of expence or maintenance. Understanding the benefits will help you to determine what type of system is best for your needs.
